Jenny and I had to split up in SA in order to get home. I took the last and only seat on the first flight and she took the last and only seat on the second flight. We connected with different flights to Charleston. I picked her up at the airport and here we are. I will say unequivocally I have a passionate dislike for flying. We arrived to find our new garage pretty much done.

Getting high before dinner
Never let it be said that it's a good idea to take 6 young girls to a nice restaurant. Aubrey's birthday was celebrated in The Tower of The Americas. This is the end of Fiesta week in SA so there was SOME traffic. The girls had a good time. That is what was important.
Aubrey's 7th
We have made the trek to SA to celebrate Aubrey's b'day. It was our first 2 leg commute. We flew out of Charleston, into Charlotte and then here. Looks like getting home might be difficult. Anyway, we so far, have visited a park for some aggressive swinging and had our nails done at a salon.

Linz visit
Approaching the dreaded tax deadline of April 15th, Lindsay decided to leave Jamie to slave over Turbo Tax all by himself. She brought the kids and dogs for a visit. She also brought a bubble machine.

Making progress
There was a arts and crafts deal at the town center today. We took a break from putting the house together and walked over there. One thing a 'downsizing' move does is give you a razor focus on what you might buy in the future. We, without question, needed no arts and crafts. There was a guy there that handmade wooden canoes and paddles. This paddle was for sale for a mere $765. He had a canoe there that was going for $70,000. He has a lifetime of back orders. Sadly I don't need a canoe.

Going, going, gone!
Hiring a moving company to move your stuff is a hassle and is somewhat unpleasant. I can't imagine doing it by yourself. The moving crew finished up around 1:00. The Hosches fed us lunch. They should be considered for a superlative neighbor award. Thank you Beth & Dean. "Above and beyond the call of duty" describes your contribution to our move. You really seemed to want to help us leave. Hum? We are in our new home. Tomorrow our stuff arrives. This is not going to be pretty.

Count down is at 1
The movers come tomorrow. We have been steadily packing boxes. We are still discarding things. I have been to the green boxes twice today. Moving is such a hassle that we haven't had time to think about the enormous change that we are in the middle of. Once we get somewhat settled in Beaufort we will need to focus on the RV trip to Canada and Alaska. It's always something. There is a little get together at the Hosches tonight to bid adieu to the Williams.
