Christmas 2014 in Charleston

You gotta wonder just how badly the recycling pickup guys dread the first pick up after Christmas. The boys really like trucks and everyone knows it. The trucks arrived in elaborate recyclable packaging.  This house is going to need a parking garage soon. We had standing rib roasted for our Christmas meal. Yummy!

Wight's visit Habersham

We kicked off Jamie's Christmas vacation with a bonfire in the neighborhood fire pit where we made s'mores. We roasted the marshmallows on bamboo stalks I cut in our backyard. Day two we tired out the dogs to the point that anything was an acceptable bed. In the second pic, that contraption, is my Elliptigo Bike. I bought it last week. It allows a runner with bad knees to get back on the road.

Aubrey dances in "The Nutcracker"

Aubrey has been rehearsing for her part in this ballet for several months. Her performance is the reason we are here. The production was very well done and our Granddaughter hit all of her marks. No photography was allowed during the show but here are a couple of shots I got at the hotel a few hours before the curtain rose.

Trinity

Yesterday, Dec 11, Seth decided that because of his best friend and loyal companion's deteriorating health it was time to let Trinity go. She had absorbed playful abuse from the girls, acted as a look out in the bow of a canoe and run down endless frisbee tosses but her legs were failing her. She was absolutely the best dog I've ever known. We will miss her.
