Rim bike ride

The road to Hermits Rest has been closed to private motorized vehicles for many years. Shuttle buses take everyone up the road with stops at all the viewpoints. Bicycles are allowed so you have the road virtually to yourself. It was really neat. We rode all the way from Trailer Village to Hermits rest (13.5) miles and then loaded the bikes onto the shuttle bus bike rack and returned on the bus. We ate lunch in one of the tourist cafeterias and we are now in the process of preparing for a long, hot, hike tomorrow.
