Paddling up hill

The weather has warmed up but a south wind is the cause and the wind has been blowing in my face all day. It combined with the tide this afternoon and it got to the point that the effort I was expending wasn't worth the measly distance I was covering so I quit. I'm at mile 288. That's 2 miles short of the very conservative goal I had. Sad but true. I'm on another island camped behind a clump of trees that I'm using at a wind break. I took a few pics of the camp.

  1. Hey Dave, I was watching weather this morning and wondered if the warm front might set you back a bit, still, you came close to your goal! Glad it is warmer today, rode two hours on Reggie with Candice, tomorrow we are going to ride in a hunter pace, will tell you what it is after I do it, as I am not real sure! Thinking about you Dave .

  2. Hey Dave...Ed says that you must have forgotten your sun tan lotion....it WAS sunny today after all! We were working in the breeze also...getting the garden raised bed completed. We felt some of your pain. Glad that you are settled for the night...wish I had sent some of Ed's Chili with you. Paddle on tomorrow...I have my cell phone very close..promise. Paula
