The Big Texan RV Ranch
We are in Amarillo Tx. We lost an hour when we entered Texas so we didn't pull in here until around 5. Big Tex is apparently a big deal. There is a Big Tex steakhouse a Big Tex Brewery and a Big Tex motel. The RV Ranch is somewhat gaudy but I suppose that's to be expected from someone named Big Tex. We drove through a virtual forest of windmills getting here. The saying in the Panhandle is: "They ain't nutten to stop the wind between here and Canda sept bobwar fences." That's pretty close to what they say. Were still on I 40 but we're going to have to turn south eventually. We do not have a plan yet for tomorrow, we haven't fixed dinner yet but I'm on my second bourbon and coke. More tomorrow.

Big tex never heard of those, but only in Texas. Glad you have another day under your belt. Thinking of you both. Safe trip
ReplyDeleteI used to love seeing those windfarms in west Texas when I would go scuba diving to Balmorhea, Texas..which was on I-10 but the same kind of wind farm. Do yall feel like you are limping home or is there anything new that you are discovering? I hope Big Tex is a discovery? Stay safe, your sis, Paula
