This park is not too far from Moab. It's situated on some high ground about 2000 feet above the Colorado river canyon. Just a few more miles down the road is the entrance to The 'islands in the Sky' district of Canyonlands NP. After we got set up we hiked on the rim of the canyon for a couple of hours. It was a spectacular hike with too many picture taking opportunities. We both took some. Another attraction here is mountain biking. Nearly 40 miles of trails. I will explore some of them tomorrow. This is a dry campground so we have to live with what we brought. We have become pretty good at taking miserly showers and conserving in other ways. We are here for 3 days.
