So, we're driving to Abilene to spend 2 nights at the state park there. Enroute, we have to drive through San Angelo and we see the sign for their state park. We decide to forget Abilene and stop here. The drive took us through a stretch of Texas that is experiencing an oil boom. There were tanker trucks, drilling rig trucks, dump trucks, and trucks I can't describe. There was one RV. To add to the unpleasantness was a 30 mph wind trying to blow me into the oncoming trucks. Get the idea? My sphincter muscle was stressed. We will be here for 5 days. I'll describe this park tomorrow. We are camped in the equestrian section. Here's our camp.
