Light House

Our big event this morning was a 8 mile hike to a rock formation called 'the light house'. It's the most identifiable feature in the park and consequently the trail is the busiest. The trail was primarily packed dirt and is open to mountain bikes. The park has many long bikeable trails. Tomorrow I'll ride some of them. Probably the biggest attraction in Palo Duro Canyon is an outdoor play entitled "Texas". There is an enormous amphitheatre in the canyon with a spectacular backdrop where the presentation takes place. We are going to see it tonight. We are eligable for the senior citizens discount. Don't know if we should be happy or sad.
