Theodore Roosevelt NP

We are in the badlands of North Dakota. The wind is absolutely howling. 40 mph was forecast and we are at the end of a scenic drive that was all uphill, sitting in the car as it rocks back and forth. The west has been very dry this summer and with winds like this, wildfires are a bigly problem. On the drive up here there was a buffalo traffic jam. This park protects some of the grasslands that were the buffalos original habitat. We have a long hike planned for tomorrow, if the wind doesn't die down some I dont think that will be doable.
