On July 8th 1947, Roswell Army Air Field issued a press release stating that they had recovered a flying disc. The Army quickly retracted the statement and said the object was a weather balloon. That was pretty much the end of the story until the 1970s when a Ufologist interviewed a witness and that person said he believed the debris was extraterrestrial. The town of Roswell has really cashed in on the UFO story. We visited the UFO museum and if you are impressionable it would be pretty easy to believe that a spacecraft really did crash, that there were 4 aliens on board and that one of them was alive. We head further North tomorrow. our destination is over 7000 feet. We are hoping it will be cooler.
